Whipped Sugar Scrub Recipe

In the winter months I like to test out different recipes for bath and body products. One of our most popular products this time of year is our whipped sugar scrub. It makes your skin silky smooth and helps get rid of winter callouses. Over the years we’ve tested so many different sugar scrubs and this one is our favorites. You will thank me for it once you’ve discovered the miracle that is avocado butter!!

Ingredients

I personally do not like the smell of Shea butter. In fact it’s kind of gaggy. So I looked into different options and stumbled upon avocado butter. This stud is amazing! I could use it all by itself and it would be wonderful. You’ll just have to try it. And since it’s one of the main ingredients in this recipe you’ll be able to experience its creamy luxury for yourself.

Instructions

You want to make sure both your coconut oil and avocado butter are are room temperature or slightly warmer. Place them both in the mixer and get them creamed together until there are no lumps. Because nobody likes lumpy whip.

Once they are smooth add the jojoba oil and fragrance oil in slowly while mixer is on so it doesn’t splash.

When the jojoba oil is mixed in then you want to turn your mixer on high so you get some air whipped in to make it nice a fluffy.

Mix in the arrow root powder

Then start to add your sugar slowly.

Once fully mixed put it in wide mouth jars and store in a room temperature location for up to a year. You will love this recipe. It’s the best; easy, fast (only 15 minutes) and luxurious. They make great gifts.
